Virgin Media issues 48-hour countdown to claim a free Xbox – don’t miss out

If you like the sound of snapping up a free games console this week then you’re in luck. Virgin Media has an attractive deal running that offers a free Xbox Series S worth £249.99 when you sign up to a money-saving broadband bundle. New customers who sign up to the internet service provider’s Mega Volt bundle or its Bigger Combo bundle with either Movies or Sports HD options can claim a free Xbox until 30th June, which is tomorrow. If you already have the console or don’t fancy one, worry not – alternatively you can claim £200 in bill credit instead.

The Bigger Combo bundle + Movies is the most affordable 18-month contract option that#s art of the Xbox deal at £55 per month. It’ll net you 516Mbps broadband, a Virgin TV 360 set top box with more than 2-00 channels plus Sky Cinema HD and all regular Sky channels.

It even includes a landline connection if you want one, with unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines. There’s no setup fee for any of these services either, making this bundle quite good value when you factor in either a free Xbox or the bill credit.

One thing to note is Virgin says the fee after 18 months rises to £136 at the time of writing – Virgin claims you can cancel your services with 30 days notice after 18 months though, but if you want to avoid the higher fee you should check the terms and conditions of the contract or speak to Virgin to see if there are other options. If you want a longer term contract, this may not be the one for you.

For £71 per month you can get the other Bigger Combo bundle that offers an Xbox, but instead of Sky Cinema you get eight Sky Sports channels. This bundle rises to £156 per month from month 19.

Lastly, the Mega Volt bundle will set you back £84.99 per month but offers speedier 1130Mbps broadband, an O2 mobile plan with unlimited everything, more than 230 TV channels, Sky Cinema and Sky Sports HD, Netflix standard plan and the landline too.

This is a lot of tech for the price – plus the Xbox or bill credit of course – but rises to £178 per month in month 19. But if you want to get your hands on a free Xbox you can sign up for 18 months for any of these three bundles and ride out the minimum term, presumably while gaming to your heart’s content over stable broadband.
